Our history
From vision to reality
Treetop Spa began as a dream – to create a place where people can escape the stress of everyday life without having to travel far. High up on a hill, surrounded by trees and with views over Gothenburg, we found the perfect spot.
Today, Treetop is an award-winning spa and hotel welcoming thousands of guests every year. But we have never forgotten our roots – the personal, the genuine and the feeling of being welcomed home.
Our philosophy is simple: quality over quantity, genuine experiences and care for every detail. That is how we built Treetop, and that is how we continue to grow.
Wilhelmina Skogh Prize
In 2018, Treetop Spa was awarded the prestigious Wilhelmina Skogh Prize for best spa facility. The prize is given to establishments that stand out through quality, guest experience and innovation.

By car from the north
From E6 northbound: Take the Hisings-Backa/Lillhagen exit. Follow Lillhagsvägen and turn left onto Gamla Lillhagsvägen. Treetop is 2 km up on the right side.
By car from the south
From E6/E20 southbound: Take the exit towards Kungälv/Hisingen. Follow signs to Backa. Turn off onto Gamla Lillhagsvägen and continue for 2 km.
By bus
Line 42 from Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen stops at the Lillhagen bus stop. From there it is approximately a 15-minute walk up the hill.
